holding air hammers
G'day Norman,
No one ever showed me how to hold the hammer, I found it quite
uncomfortable.
So I modified it to make it suit me better, instead of having the air line
going straight into the back of the hammer I put in a right angle, under
that I put a tap and then the air line. I wrapped the angle with the soft
adhesive tape you put on tennis rackets handles.
The back of the hammer now rests gently and very comfortably in the palm of
my hand while I hold the chisel with the other. and. I can flick the tap on
and off with my thumb, seems a whole lot better to me.
I also wear padded gloves.
Regards Clive
