Hi new here
Hi there I am a novice's novice, and I was wondering if there was a stone
carving "for dummies" webpage. I am an artist, but never worked in stone
before. I havea strong urge to go up near my granite quary and surrounding
woods, and just practice on natural stone I find while hiking about. Has
anyone done that? (dumb question i'm sure)
I was wondering if anyone could point me to differences in techniques, and
suggestions for my first stone chisels, and what I'll need to sharpen them a
basic grinder I would assume,,
Anyway I appologize for my ignorance, but I'm a fast learner... (but poor,
so my resources will be limited ) -- I am painting at the moment in gessoed
paper! hehe
Thanks
Scott
