Diamond Hand Pads
I can't resist throwing my coin into the cavity on this one either.
I love my 70 grit Genisis Abrasive Technology flexible hand pad. Obviously
not for detail, but for a swell or hollow or sinuosity, it it great for
taking you from the rasp to the sanded shape. A rasp or riffler give a
rough and approximate result. Then the 70 grit pad of course takes out the
scatch marks and goes above and beyond to shape quite rapidly. It seems to
go into Danby marble near as fast as a rasp and gives a much more coherent
curve. For it is flexible and curvaceous. I can rub my marble and make it
feel better. A proper rubbing can stir up a djin. Any proper work of stone
has to have a genie.
