Flint knapping
Hello Stone People,
My father visited the UK a while ago, and someone there told him that all of
the flint-knapped stonework in the UK was a by-product of the armaments
industry. According to this source, flint shards were produced for flintlock
muskets and the leftover rock used in buildings. Can any list subscribers
verify this?
Regards,
Simon
