Flint knapping
Strewth mate, I'm goin' back to the farm! The funny farm!! >:) Thanks for the

I visit a local quarry regularly, they excavate floaters of granodiorite.
The larger pieces are easily split by dropping a five-tonne mass of steel
onto them from a crane, leaving a beautiful split face. Perhaps a more
controlled process is used to blow off the large spalls from the Japanese
sculptures, like a hydraulic guillotine, an explosive-powered captive bolt
or some demolition breaker with sharp pointy teeth.
Or am I delving into the realms of fantasy?
