Knapping question
Have a friend here in central Texas who makes all of his own
points to tip his homemade arrows to use with his homemade bows.
Gets a deer or two every year. He can knapp out a serviceable
point in flint (chert), or obsidian in a mater of minutes using
traditional tools (antlers and such) . and techniques.
Apparently, once you know what you are doing, it 's a relatively
simple job. Of course, he hasn't tried to emulate any of those
wonderful Mayan ceremonial flints.

Quoted text begins. So, you want to produce a flint knapped edge without flint knapping.
