Hi Bill, When I first saw this piece, I thought Albert Hettinger might have
saved all his off-cuts from a previous project and epoxied them together.
There are circular saw marks on some of them that look like he's used a ring
saw to cut cheeks into a basalt pillar, then snapped them off with a hammer.
Interesting technique- the piece has a primal force like it's a part of a
huge serpent.
