Sculpture is not about aesthetics.
Decoration is about aesthetics.
Schiefer
As for the web site, the problem is blandness. It needs to be zipped up a
bit, as in giving it a bit more life or energy. This is just another way of
expressing Norman's critique.
The trick with search engines is finding the right words in the text and in
the links to other pages. (Those are the actual addresses of the pages of
your site.) Search engines don't like text which looks as though it has just
been put there for the benefit of search engines by repeating words and
phrases unnecessarily. In particular they don't like invisible text. You do
not need to register your sites with the popular engines as they scan the
web all the time for sites. If you want to be found you need to get as many
other sites to link to yours as you can.
