Was told by my very first sculpting mentor that the only thing
that mattered was that I liked the piece. Then it was art. All
of the other discussion is hogwash generated in the halls of
academic institutions, where art is some sort of mystery only
the initiated can and should understand. His definition of art
has always worked well for me.
