Web Exposure of Stone Art/Works - A Suggestion
Hello: The recent discussion on exposure of artists' web sites on the
Internet reminded me that I wanted to let you know that if you have stone
works on your web sites created from stone from specific locations
(states/countries), I would like to place link(s) on our web site (Stone
Quarries and Beyond), which is about stone quarries and stone workers. The
addition of works of art from identified stone would give our viewers have
the opportunity to view finished pieces of stone from the stone quarries
they are interested in. Perhaps this would help a little towards exposing
your works to the Internet viewers via our web site.
If you have works displayed on your web site for which the origin of the
stone is identified, feel free to send me the information and I will add it
either to the state sections already on our web site or to the state
sections that will go online in the future (see list of states below).
Your stone work would be placed in the state/country section from which the
stone was quarried along with your web site links. We have the following
states on our web site currently on the web site, and I am presently
working on expanding the California state section and I am beginning on the
Maryland state section. (Once the U.S. states are completed, I will begin
on the other countries.)
U.S. States completed and online: Alabama - Alaska - Arizona - Arkansas -
California - Colorado - Connecticut - Delaware - Florida - Georgia - Hawaii
- Idaho - Illinois - Indiana - Iowa - Kansas - Kentucky - Louisiana - Maine
- Vermont.
Another way you might want to be listed on our web site is in the section
in each state section that provides links on people who work in stone and
live in the state in which the entry is placed. So, if you are a stone
worker in Maine, your web site would be placed in this
section: < http://www.cagenweb.com/quarries/states/maine.html#carvers >
Let me know if you would like to be included now or in the future state
sections (see list above).
