Chlorine vs. Marble
Quoted text begins.Marble will dissolve slowly in water, especially if the
water is acidic.
End of quote.
Simon, this is a terrrible bummer. I never even thought
about the acid in the water. Is it perhaps a worse enemy
than the chlorine? From what I have seen marble care has
a love hate relation with chlorine. It is to be avoided
unless you have a stain.
I have e-mailed Tenax and will try to learn more about
them but I have talked to people in the marble industry
who have said that you can not seal in freezing
enviroments.
What a mess, What about all the Trevi fountain and all
the fountains of Europe?
Thanks for your input, Simon,
Bill
