Aesthetics
I wish to make it clear that Clive and I are not having a bare knuckle fist
fight. We simply have a different take on the important subject of
aesthetics. For those who think that this is all hogwash or bovine faeces
please note that this group has its roots in fine art and that such
occasional discussions form an important part of the group's success.
I take the view that the most important part, of a work of fine art, is the
essence of what is being expressed and that the work should be right within
itself and that that is not necessarily aesthetics. I have every respect for
Clive's views which I take to be equally relevant. Just because they appear
to be diametrically opposed to mine does not mean that both views are not
simultaneously equally valid. I refer you to Schroedinger's cat.
