If you must explain the work then is it the work or the words which have the
"weight".

I like making installations et. for the people that know the language. It
is art. However, my first love is stone.

Modern art says a lot about our current "throw away culture". It became
fashionable in New York...where there is a great deal of money. Many modern
works have been bought by people with more money than knowledge. This has
fueled the art market. Is some modern art about supply and demand? Jeff
Koons thinks so, and he actually has a good laugh at others expense. He
says that he gives them what they want...an item that is mass produced and
trendy.

Is "canned poop", art or a statement? Is it something that you want to pass
on to the kids, or have on a mantel piece, or look at for twenty years. Is
it making you cry, only for what it did to your pocket book?

A parable: A young lady and old lady are talking about exotic food. The
young lady says: "I would never eat truffles", (expensive French mushrooms
with worms in them). The old woman says: "If you lived though the
depression you would eat them....we used to eat gophers!" The young woman
says: you were forced to eat gophers because you were hungry, you should
know better that to pay to eat worms because you are rich! Trends are
trends....and they come and go.
