engine hoist
Edie...some pointers on using 2-3" strap. I like a strap with a loop on
each end. A large shackle would be useful, as well. The strap can be used in
several configurations.
For turning a stone, slip one end through the loop in the other end to catch
the stone in a noose. The loop should come from the side to be rolled to
the top...best done with stone on 4x4's across legs of hoist...then lifted to
bench, unless there is no danger of stone rolling off bench.
Pictures would explain better, of course...maybe others can add help or
provide a link to an illustrated explanation.
