Bill,
There may some slight spalling adjacent the top of drill hole. There is
some soft white marble that's not going to take to drilling very well
in some instances. I have installed a lot of marble veneer using the
'standard set' method of drilling pilot holes on the narrow sides of a sheet
so to install the copper fastening wires. Usually never a problem with
this, of course I'm using 3/16" drill bit with hammer drill.
