Squaring of Boulders
Sorry to piggyback on the drilling question, but I don't know how to start a
new thread. I'm interested in finding someone with a diamond-wire 'stone
pony' machine (at least that's what they are called in the Massa/Carrara
region)to square off some fairly hefty (1-3 tons) boulders of domestic (USA)
stone. I am located in Southern California and my stone sources (old
quarries, located thanks to Peggy Perazzo and her marvelous website) stretch
from San Bernardino to Sacramento. Short of hauling a lot of mass to the
New Mexico Travertine operation in Albuquerque, can anyone suggest a closer
Western USA source for some serious boulder taming?
It's a longshot, but thanks for any references.
