protecting fossil limestone outside
Simon,
Thanks. I am mostly worried about acid rain. I have no worries about
staining or freeze thaw. Will a sealer prevent acid rain damage?
Ken
Quoted text begins.3 adverse factors you must overcome if the limestone is to be located
outside are UV radiation, water (containing additional solvents) and
the sealer itself. A good sealer will block both UV radiation and
water without affecting the stone, however a maintenance regime must
be identified and adhered to.
