These Trow and Holden bush chisels don't have inserts. The points are
carved from a solid hunk of TC that is welded to the end of the steel
chisel shank. They produce a softer finish when blunt, but if left too
long before sharpening they will go absolutely flat. You end up with a
one point chisel with a 3/4" face.
