Hi everyone from Bernd Buerklin
Hey everyone,
I subscribed to this list a few days ago and I like to introduce myself:
I am Bernd Buerklin, a stone worker who enjoyed a traditional 4 year
apprenticeship as a stone sculptor and stone carver in Germany.
I have been working with stone for almost 15 years now, most recently as an
enslaved (meaning "employed"), overqualified and underpaid fabricator of
stone countertops in upstate New York, USA for the last 3 years (granite,
marble, limestone, everything). Barely feeds the family.
As I am slowly moving back into sculpting I am looking forward to read the
postings and contribute some Old World wisdom (except for the trade secrets,
of course...).
Keep up the good work
Bernd
