My web page
Hi George:
Thank you for visiting my page, and your opinion on my paintings.
I am interested in carving marble. Perhaps Bolivia has the richest
geologycal variety on Earth. There are just about all types of rocks in the
Andes mountains, and very available. However, I only want to deal with
marble. I can not stand the dust of granite. I would like to make human
figures similar to those made by DulceMaria from Miami. I am very much
concerned on the effect sculpting could have on my hands. As a painter, I
must have very steady hands.
Indeed there is a huge Inca heritage in South America. Should you wish to
see some pre hispanic or pre Colombian clay art and sculptures,
I would recommend you look at google or other search engine under following
authors: Dick Edgar Ibarra, Carlos Ponce Sanjines, Teresa Gisbert, Tierry
Saignes, Alcides Parejas Moreno; some of their articles are translated to
English and French.
The big question is why do I want to become a sculpturer?
Regards,
Hugo
