Transferring design
Tom,
Thats an interesting concept. I guess you would then be "slicing" into
the slate more with an "obliquely" shaped chisel. And if you rotated
the oblique-chisel 180 degrees it would actually be lifting up material
and thus exacerbating the flaking problem, so it makes sense. However,
it seems a bit of a hazardous (expensive) experiment to grind the
chisel to try this.
