Subject: Introducing Myself... Sandra

Hi Sandra,
I am new to the list too, and am still trying to figure out this email
system. I tried to post an introduction the other day, but it appears that
it may have gone into cyber space. I worked my way through college and
graduate schools as a stone mason amongst other things. My tool usage is
limited to Stone Axes, Star Drills, Feather Wedges, Sledge Hammers, and Cold
Chisels. Most of my work now is granite, and is limited to dry and wet lay
retaining walls on my property. Most of this work is coordinated with
plantings. So.. I'm not all too fancy, but I can build a "Woven Wall" that
will last a year or two. I became fascinated with carving as a child from
watching my grandfather carve marble and sandstone. I actually still have
his roll of tools, but I suspect that hardened copper tools may be out of
fashion. So far, this list is a nice thing to read as I get into the office
in the morning. Who knows, someday I may be able to do something pretty.
