Jeff,
For those pesky hard-to-reach areas, such as nostrils, armpits, and
(ahem) other places, I just use Butcher's wax on a Q-tip and let it go
at that. It deepens the color, but has little affect on shine. I mean,
who has shiny nasal passages anyway? You also have to ask yourself,
what is a viewer doing studying the inside of a nostril? Do I really
want somebody with a mucous fetish owning my work?
Seriously though, even the David is not uniformly polished.
