stone and metal
Quoted text begins.do you just cut strips of lead and tap them into place with a hammer?
does the metal fill the groove or is it beaten to a thin film?
End of quote.
Hi Norman,
The lead is cut into strips and beaten into a V-cut with anchoring holes
drilled along it. The V-cut is almost as deep as it is wide. Excess lead is
shaved flat with a surform and sanded smooth.
