Cutting holes and indentions
I have been working on 10lb pieces (and smaller) of soapstone and
alabaster. I made a candle holder out of a piece with a small cut out
for a tea light or votive rather shallow. I used a grinding bit that
came with my dremel and also I used it to do the ash TRAY part of an
ashtray I'm working on. My question is the dremel bit is pretty small
so it takes a while to get the cut out done, does anyone know of a
better way or tool I could use that would be a little larger in diameter
and thickness? Also a good tool to use for cutting holes through the
stone as well as taking out long plugs since my dremel will only go in
so far? Keep in mind I am working on smaller pieces so I don't need
anything big just bigger. Thanks for any suggestions.
