Taking that tip one step further,I put a piece of heavy angle iron under
the intended fracture line. The angle is set "point up" so it almost acts
like a huge chisel edge.The idea is to create hard contact along a small
face and align that with the intended cut. The angle iron is set on an oak
timber,softwood will split under heavy work.
