Slate question
Not that i know how to do it, but how "rough" do you mean? with cusps
the size of your thumb imprint? your pinky finger? or the texture of a
very rough sandpaper? I was going to try to do the latter on a recent
piece but decided to go with a smooth finish. I'm interested to hear
what you will learn.
btw, on that above piece i wanted to protect the honed surface and
applied some tape over it to prevent accidental scratches. stupid! DC
was hot and humid that day and the tape came off leaving the adhesive
very firmly bonded to the stone. It took two hrs of scrubbing with a
solvent to remove it. I could have sanded a whole new surface onto it
in that time
