Egyptian slaves
Perhaps the stonecutters' song could be performed in some sort of Tibetan
stone levitation ritual...
Now if it's moving stone on a polished floor where a crane can't reach, how
about using air casters as a fluid bed? http://solvinginc.com/ Could then
follow up with the ice blocks to lower the stone the rest of the way.
Believe the air caster method was used at the Australian Parliament House to
install a large stone in a difficult area.
Thanks for the confirmation about the ice method, Walter, I had always
believed this only to exist as a kind of Dr Haledjian puzzler. Never had the
application to use it before, now I'm encouraged to experiment in my
workshop with some party ice. Good enough excuse for a cold beer.
