Cameras
Hi all,
I'm in the process of replacing my somewhat ancient and now inadequate
digital camera and before I rush out to get a new one I thought I'd see what
you all think is a good idea.
This camera will be used for a number of different activities, emailing
images to clients etc and making pictures for the net, printing very
reasonable quality A4 prints and blowing up images of my subjects up to as
much as 800mm (printed on a number of A4s) as an aid to making each
sculpture
I have identified a number of requirements they are:-
-No need for top of the range Pro quality (we get pro photographers in for
the real pro jobs)
-No need for something with millions of functions that fits in my pocket.
-Need best lens available for price, 3x optical zoom at least.(most people
say big is best for lenses)
-Around 4mg for 300 dpi so pictures for publication can be made.
-Some useful manual controls.
-Good accurate view finder.
-Probably best if it can take normal alkali batteries as well as the hi-tech
ones.
-No need for to store thousands of images but should be able to add extra
card.
- good in low light conditions, and can compensate for various electric
lights.
- easy to use, probably best if it makes me feel as if I'm using a 1980's
35mm SLR.
Love to hear your ideas.
Best regards to all, thanks in advance Clive
