While I do agree that the rechargeable battery route is easily going to be
cheaper in the long run, I will say that it's probably wise to invest in a
second set that is charged and ready to go. From my experience, the recharge
bats life falls off quickly after the first couple of charges. This has
often left me "on site" with dead or dying batteries and opting for whatever
is available at the local convenience store. I use a FujiFilm Finepix s3000
with a digital viewfinder. I have a hunch that this may be the battery
eating culprit. Anyone else experiencing the same?
Long story short, I buy the best batteries available in bulk at one of those
warehouse places and keep them in the frig until I need them. I can keep
them in my camera for a month without replacing and that's taking pics
almost every day! I've got a 4 month old so the camera definitely gets some
use.
Do any of the camera companies make solar powered cameras? I'd buy one!

Quoted text begins.I agree (with Julianna and Craig) about the rechargeable batteries too.
They make it so much easier than trying to carry spares. It's got to be
cheaper in the long-run too.
