I have never even heard of a digital zoom that is worth the paper in which
it came wrapped. Optics all the way! Photoshop is a nice program. It can
also alleviate the necessity to use zoom completely if you are stuck with
digital zoom doom. Play around with some of the advanced features, and you
might really like the results. I am finding that photographing detail in
stone isn't easy at all. I was trying to photograph natural stone veins for
a friend who wants to learn how to cut field stone, and also some of that
weird granite that I have. I need to play around with the light I guess, or
go find the old Pentax. Life is a learning curve. Any suggestions? Other
than taking-up golf I mean...?
