Subject: Not quite stone, but advice needed!

Hello all,
I've been enjoying the list for some time now, and can't wait to delve into
some stone. But for now, you might be able to help me with an assignment I
have this semester as an architecture student. Our task is to create an
8" "exquisite cube" from concrete rubble. Some of the examples I've seen from
past students have been quite creative and not mere solid cubes.

Any advice out there for chiseling away at old concrete? Maybe some lettering
will add interest, if that is possible. I chose concrete rubble after seeing
the rubble smoke house designed and built in Samuel Mockbee's Rural Studio by
Scott Stafford. I'm hoping to use it in my own mountain cottage some day.

Thanks for any help on tool selection and technique. I'll appreciate it all!

Take care,
Kathy
