Thanks for the info. My concern isn't with staining; I'm worried about
oxidation/pitting due to pollution. The statue was out in a woman's
garden for approx. 3 yrs. & the top of her head/cowl is rough in
texture while the rest of the sculpture's surface is very smooth ---
It feels like air pollution has already begun to damage it. This is
why I was asking about sealing the marble.
