Yes, it sure is harder to locate but it's out there, it is three or
more times as expensive as stainless too. I bought some bronze 1 inch
threaded rod with nuts and washers from Johnson Atelier but I don't
know if they are still in busness. You could buy some old sprues from
a bronze casting foundry if you don't need threads. I bought the
silicon base adhesive in Europe and that's where I was told about the
problems with epoxy. The label on the adhesive was in French and about
all I could make out was especial per pierre. it comes in a tube and
applied with a calking gun. I have seen bronze rod advertised in
sculpture magazine but I don't have any laying around or I would give
you the contact #'s--
