Cool fresh start
Philip Whitley, Greenville, SC. MFA in sculpture from University of NC,
1969. Taught art on college and other levels until 1981 when I bought a gallery
and picture framing business, sold 1995. Sculpture full-time since (when
I'm not sailing). Bob, let me know if you need crew!
Last piece abstract in stainless steel, 20 feet tall. Have used limestone
as bases; carved very little, although I augmented income in the 80's by
carving animal carnival rides for kids in urethane foam. They were manufactured
in Fiberglas.
Forge some, like Jerry, whom I am familiar with from the blacksmith list,
and do some bronze casting.
I look forward to all discussions, OT included, Philip Whitley
