Introduction and a question about tools
Hi Bill,
I picked up one made by ridged tools at home depot. I'm not
sure exactly how it works as it looks much like a normal piston
type compressor without the iron bottom end and oil reservoir.
Bought it when I was doing some work on location.... Rather
inexpensive, portable, and capable of producing 6.2 cfm at 90
psi---ample enough air to push a pneumatic carving hammer. Ran
it all day long for several days without any problem. Sitting
up on a shelf in the shop now, waiting for that next "traveling"
job.
As for the original discussion. Jane you could keep the air
compressor isolated in your garage, and run enough hose to get
as far from neighbors as possible. Although quite noisy up
close, the noise does not carry like a lawn mower or leaf blower
will.
Good luck
