standing stones
Here's a question maybe someone can provide information about..
Say I wanted to do some kind of sculpture installation based similar to the "standing stones" found throughout Great Britain, where there is a correlation between the placement of the stones and the phases of the sun and moon [the Equinox and Solstice] How could I calculate the placement of the stones without first spending years observing the rising sun on these dates? I guess I'm referring more to the sun on the Solstice and Equinox than the moon.
Thanks
tom
