I work with a lot of soft stone (limestone) and have found that
a pneumatic point is actually less effective than a 1/4 inch
machine chisel for rapid waste removal. In fact, in the softer
limestones (cordova creme, lueders), I'll dispense with the
point or flat chisel all together, and use a 4 point claw for
all my rough in work.
