Subject:
stone carving workshop, symposia
the word symposium is Greek in origin. I believe it means drinking
and talking.
I have always envied a friend who took part in a sculpture symposium
in Sardinia (yes, Tom, I believe some expenses were paid for the
invited artists). after the days' work, evening meals were convivial
affairs, great food and wine, discourse and, for my friend, romance.
at the stonework symposium in Charleston there will be drinking and
talking and as well a lot of showing and telling.
