Hi Robin,
I'll be interested to hear what you've got as well as
5/16" is bigger than 7mm; 0.938mm bigger in fact.
Well I've gone and measured and it does seem that a 5/16"
shaft is smaller than 5/16". 19/64" or less, in fact,
perhaps a millimeter shy of 5/16" and perhaps about 7mm
wide.
