John Fishers' sculptures are in Yucca Valley not far from Palm Springs.  The
pieces now sit in front of a furniture manufacturer if I remember correctly.
I have not been to see them but am planning to stop by before the end of the
year.  John went out and checked on them and did some minor clean up work
(removed a little graffiti) on them during the last week of September.
Having spent a fair amount of time with John between July and October in
Santa Barbara. I can tell you that he is inspirational and a fantastic
person.  Watching him carve a 19 ton block of marble over three months with
no maquette or drawings to work from was amazing.
I believe John is planning on being in New Mexico early next year for a
symposium and will be carving Limestone. If you get a chance to see John in
action or even just to meet him it will be a time well spent.
