Looking for plans for sand-filled workbench
Hi everyone,
This is my first post to this forum, although I've been lurking for a
while. A couple years ago I took some sculpting classes. The teacher
had these great workbenches she had made -- simple sturdy things,
comfortable to stand at, made out of 2x2s and plywood. The best part
was that the top of the bench was a small sandbox with a cover. When
you wanted to sculpt with a firm surface, you closed the top and worked
on the plywood (covered with a towel). But you could also remove the
cover, and place your stone into the sand for more give and
flexibility.
I want to make one of these myself, and instead of just winging it, I
thought I'd ask this group. Does anyone out there either (a) have some
simple plans for how to make one of these benches (or any other that
they prefer), or (b) have pictures online of their own benches that I
could use for inspiration.
I appreciate your help!
Dan
