cutting gold leaf
I haven't read all of the posts about this yet but are
you putting a sample of the size somewhere on the
surface to test before you commit to the v-cut? This
is something I have found useful. Also, if you are
missing the window of tackiness then your leaf won't
adhere to the size in all places. If the areas without
size, often called holidays, are small, you can
reapply dots of the size and get bits of leftover gold
and fill in.
