Ben Franklin's Dewlap
Thanks George,
That is something to keep in mind, should I happen to
attempt such minutery. Now that I think back on it, I
have carved folds in Carrara Ordinario, with good result.
It might be a marble type matter. My results in Danby
Imperial were very problematic and more recent and they
are what I remember more. In cleaning up the scratches I
inevitaby wore away a significant amount of stone and
reshaped and softened the relief of the fold line,
wearing away saliencies and widening the nook of the fold
unwantedly. I had to settle for a very soft look.
Satisfactory, but soft.
