Website question
Well actually web sites are not just for selling. They are an easy way of displaying your work whether it is for sale or not. This is a convenient way of putting forward a proposal for a gallery or other displaying opportunity.
Most artists do not actually sell work, even though they might want to. By having a web site they can get some kind of exposure. Art schools churn out thousands of artists every year but there are only a few artists who can actually live by making art alone. Certainly a large proportion of the people on the stone list are amateurs.
I have shown in galleries because curators have happened upon one of my sites.
