Question about shapening tools
Thanks everyone for your suggestions. I'll go through and try out all
your advice. And Don, it's good to get advice from an official Tool
Curator! (The area I just moved to has a similar local museum
( http://www.rosenet.org/metc/) which I need to check out).
Interesting point about the wet grinder wheel being better for wood
chisels -- now that you describe it, I see what you mean. Most of the
time, I will rely on the good old manual method of using a sharpening
stone. But when I have a large number of tools that need work (like
now) it's good to know the options.

End of quote.
The belt sander is an interesting idea (especially since I already have
one that can be table mounted). What grit and type of sandpaper do you
use for this?
Thanks,
Dan
P.S. Sorry of any of my messages get duplicated -- I've been having
some glitched with posting lately.
