the trip was planned but didn't occur. I am a Canadian working in the
US. I had to change my visa status and this turned out to be a very
slow process taking over 8 months. During the latter half of the
process I was strongly advised to not leave the country as I might then
not be able to return. As a result, I missed a family reunion, and a
vacation in Tuscany with Geri.
