Megapoxy for limestone blocks
A good respirator for solvent-based fumes from polyester or other polymer
related adhesives will have more than just simple fabric or mesh filter
medium for particles from dust. The carbon refers to the charcoal portion
of the filter cartridge which simply replaces the fabric cartridge sold for
most dust and particulates a stone carver would encounter. The cartridges
are commonly available and are labeled as appropriate for use with paints,
solvents, and similar materials.
I knew a woman from sculpture school (this was way back in the 70s) who was
not aware of the health hazards from working with polyester resin in an
unventilated space. She worked with resins and associated casting material
for years until her kidneys called a serious time-out. I believe she is now
limited to 2-D work in charcoal.........

What is this about carbon elements for the respirator? Could you please
elaborate on that. I'm always interested in information on breathing
protection.
