Carbon filter cartridges
One of the best ways I've found to store the cartridges between uses is
to get a Tupperware container that is only slightly larger than the
cartridges and store them in it.When you can smell or taste the fumes from
the epoxy, paint, adhesives, etc while wearing your respirator then it's time
to change the filters.
I also store my respirator in a Tupperware container or if I'm on site and
didn't remember to bring the container I put it in a ziplock bag whenever
I'm not wearing it.I've set mine down without doing this and come back 5
minutes later to find it filled with dust from my buddy(?) or neighbor who
was working while I was slacking off.
More than once it seemed like there was alot more dust than the time
acounted for(hard to fill a respirator when there's no noise of a grinder
running and no dust anywhere other than the respirator) but none of us have
ever worked with anyone who would do such a thing on purpose now have we.;^)
