Subject: mortar for limestone blocks

Thanks Nick, together with the articles below I'm getting a sense of
what is going on. Now there are just some questions about terms and
expressions like:
cementitious, render, harling, dry-hydrated lime, weatherings, quoins,
and fat lime. And how do you knock up the lime with water? It sounds
painful, and perverse.
